PETERSENBOISSEL LAB

Lil Petersen & Svenja Boissel
Mentors: Prof. Bettina Göttcke-Krogmann & Eric Jürgens

Petersenboissel Lab is a textile design and material research studio in Berlin. As textile designers they deal with different aspects of sustainability. They work on upcycling strategies for pre-consumer waste from the textile industry. Pre consumer waste is industrial leftovers such as lint, leftover yarns or selvedges. These are generated in the production process and are usually burned or downgraded. In cooperation with their partners from the textile industry, they analyze various materials and possible processing methods. The vision of Petersenboissel Lab is a textile industry without waste.
