Superwood is a new fiberboard material which is developed for the construction and furniture industry. It is made from recycled wood fibers mixed with casein glue and pressed into panels. Casein glue replaces the formaldehyde-based adhesives used in the production of conventional MDF panels, which have been shown to be carcinogenic. It is a pollutant-free glue that was already used by the Egyptians to build boats. The material is from wood to minimize the high consumption of raw materials and conserve resources.
