Urban Fibers collaborates with a community of designers and changemakers that work on developing circular economies. They offer solutions to initiate a transition towards a regenerative textile industry by activating local garment waste as a raw material. They transform discarded t-shirts into yarns that they optimized for digital manufacturing technologies such as knitting, weaving and rope making. By using innovative digital tools they revolutionize the notion of recycling textiles and its potential in local production. They harvest colors from waste and reuse them while sketching production models for a more sustainable textile landscape.
